DCA uses a combination
of software tools, such as Plascams and MoldFlow Part
Advisor, and over 40 years of corporate experience to
select the optimum combination of materials and processes
for each project.
The choice will be determined by a
balance of functional properties, industry standards,
sales volumes, market requirements and, of course, your
own favoured production facilities.
For plastic components, Moldflow analysis
is used to ensure that they can be produced accurately
and consistently, and to minimize shot weight and cycle
time.
Finite Element Analysis is used to
optimise component and assembly performance by fine-tuning
material properties, compositions and levels of additives.
Practical testing in our workshops
is used to validate these theoretical selections whenever
this is appropriate.
