| DCA’s design
and engineering team members are highly experienced with
a proven track record of generating significant, patented
and innovative solutions. DCA’s reward is in witnessing
the positive market response to, and commercial success
of, our creative work. A unique
strength that DCA enjoys is the cross fertilization
of ideas and knowledge between project teams working
in different market sectors. An associated benefit is
the broad knowledge base of the DCA team members who
have experience of working in and designing for the
automotive, medical, commercial, consumer product, industrial
and packaging industries.

The entire design and
engineering team have been formally trained in the use
of structured creative thinking techniques including
Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, direct thinking
and lateral thinking tools. A smaller number of staff
members have also been trained to facilitate these creative
sessions for groups who may or may not have been trained
in these techniques. DCA can therefore design and run
a creative thinking or brainstorming session with clients
in order to stimulate fresh thinking and generate original
ideas.
DCA have been employed to help
clients in a variety of creative capacities. These have
ranged from the generation and ‘live’ illustration
of concepts during client marketing reviews, to the
design and facilitation of joint DCA / client creative
thinking reviews. Regular internal project concept brainstorming
sessions and consideration of how emerging technologies
can be incorporated into client products are fundamental
to the development of effective solutions.
