DCA wins Red Dot 2018 Design award for Morphologi 4 for Malvern Panalytical

Published on: 8th May 2018

DCA is proud to announce that Morphologi® 4 and Morphologi® 4-ID have won a Red Dot 2018 design award for these next-generation instruments for Malvern Panalytical.

The Morphologi® 4 instruments offers significantly enhanced definition, speed and control for scientists characterising individual microscopic particles. With Morphologi® 4-ID the instrument uniquely combines automated, static imaging with Raman spectroscopy in a single, integrated platform. Morphologi® 4 was launched on 14th February 2018.

DCA worked closely with Malvern’s development team throughout the development, with DCA being responsible for the new product format, visual design (including colours, materials and finishes) and the main user interaction points.

This year, companies and designers from 59 countries entered more than 6,300 innovations in the Red Dot Award for Product Design. The panel of experts awards the internationally recognised seal of quality only to products that win them over with their high design quality.

Statement by the Red Dot jury. “The minimalist design language of the Morphologi 4 and Morphologi 4-ID makes the complexity of the technology disappear in favour of user-friendliness”.

“We are absolutely delighted at winning this Red Dot 2018 design award to add to the IF Design Award received earlier this year.” Chris Langley (DCA - Senior Sector Manager)
