DCA's views on social spaces showcased in Aircraft Interiors International

Many airlines are offering social spaces in aircraft, from small lounges to full bar/lounge areas. We were invited to share our concepts for social spaces focused on wellness and informal interactions in a feature published in the September 2016 issue of Aircraft Interiors International magazine.

This feature explored how social spaces could be improved in the future, whether in terms of appearance, functionality or other factors raised by a range of aircraft interior designers.

R P Kruizinga, one of DCA’s senior industrial designers explained “social spaces are an important part of the traveller’s experience, both at the airport and in flight. They also offer a great opportunity for an airline to set itself apart from the competition and reinforce its brand”.
