Dan Jenkins describes DCA's inclusive design process to Rail Professional Magazine

The article explains the approach adopted by DCA’s Human Factors team, in close co-operation with our designers and engineers, for the development of the Hitachi Class 800/801 trains.
A seven stage process is outlined that ensured that inclusive design was considered throughout the project for both the passenger areas and the driver’s cab. A focus was placed on the close integration of Design, HF and Engineering to ensure that inclusive design was considered from the project outset and at every stage throughout the project.
