Reflection on a successful DDL26

Published on: 17th December 2015

Having attended for many years as delegates, 2015 marked a return for DCA as both a sponsor and exhibitor at the annual Drug Delivery to the Lungs conference. Held in Edinburgh, this annual three day event provides an excellent platform to hear about some of the exciting developments in this challenging area of the pharmaceutical industry.

From intriguing presentations discussing the technical challenges associated with delivering biologics via the nasal and pulmonary route, insights into what really happens inside an Anderson Cascade Impactor (ACI), through to the intricacies of combining particle engineering and formulation development with device design, there was plenty to consider, debate and reflect on.

In-between the presentations there was plenty of opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces over a hard-earned cup of coffee and delicious bite to eat, as well as to meet with the ‘great and the good’ within the industry.

Thanks again to Gary Pitcairn and the rest of the organising team at DDL for such a great event – we are already looking forward to DDL27! Maybe a dusting of snow next time..…?
