DCA’s prototyping facilities enable us to produce a wide range of physical models to suit your purposes and aid a product’s development. Our in-house rapid prototyping processes include high speed CNC machining, fused deposition modelling (FDM) and vacuum casting.

Visual models can be produced for use in hall testing or focus groups. Such models often include a degree of functionality, particularly in relation to the user interfaces such as knobs, buttons, switches, audible signals, LED’s and displays. Material colour, finish and texture can also be replicated to further enhance the visual accuracy of the model.

Prototypes that are fully representative, both visually and functionally, of the production device can also be produced to enable a more complete product evaluation. These may be one-offs or short production runs for market testing.
