design team have explored and developed emerging
technologies and techniques from other industries
and applied these to improve practice in niche surgical
areas. With a view to the future, DCA’s electronics
capabilities have allowed us to help clients to
develop innovative products for the ‘electronic
operating theatre’. The overall objectives
being to raise quality, enhance efficiency and safety,
decrease patient recovery times and improve the
