Large scale mock-ups

We regularly undertake bigger model making exercises for transportation and large-scale product development projects. These mock-ups can range from basic, re-configurable ergonomic rigs to fully representative, full-scale visual models.

Generally, our large-scale mock-ups and rigs are constructed around a welded steel framework. This is designed and analysed by our engineering team not only to locate and support the internal and exterior panelling and fixtures, but also to facilitate lifting and transportation of the finished mock-up.

DCA’s in-house mock-up construction capabilities include extensive woodworking facilities for rig building and pattern making, GRP moulding expertise, as well as vacuum forming and a large format spray booth.
