Transportation projects bring their own particular electronics challenges such as surge currents, fluctuating power supplies and extreme EMC issues. Our electronics team has specific experience of handling these challenges, including the design and development of complex hardware solutions for under-bonnet applications. Such projects inevitably require close co-operation with our mechanical engineers to achieve robust, space efficient packaging of the electronic hardware that will withstand the environmental and vibration loadings without compromising the electronic functionality.
We have extensive experience of developing real-time embedded software in both ‘C’ and assembler, for a range of microprocessors and applications. Our software is developed against a project specific software development life cycle and controlled with our MKS source integrity management system. These rigorous quality systems allow us to undertake the coding and validation of complex, mission-critical software such as that used in the BMW Mini driver’s binnacle.
