DCA’s engineers work side-by-side with our design team to ensure our designs are functional, durable, light weight and cost effective.

Our engineers design and implement mechanisms for seat, armrest and table adjustments. We collaborate closely with manufacturers to transfer of our designs into production smoothly, providing for longevity and reliability in service.

Weight directly influences the environmental impact of any vechicle or plane, its running costs and the damage it causes to its supporting infra-structure. So our engineers use FEA to reduce the weight of interior elements like seating, tables and luggage racks without compromising structural strength or adding unnecessary cost.

We also use FEA extensively in the design of safety critical devices such as emergency escape systems. Here we minimise deployment weight, whilst optimising strength and fatigue performance.

All computer simulation work is, of course, thoroughly validated via extensive practical test programmes.
