User focused research

How can a single vehicle space cater for the needs of a parent travelling with small children whilst providing a productive work environment for a busy executive? How can long haul passengers sleep comfortably within an economy seat pitch?

Qualitative research aimed at answering questions like this is at the heart of DCA’s design process. Our researchers use a variety of techniques to understand what passengers really value on their journeys, and to develop an in-depth knowledge of the working practices and needs of operating and maintenance staff. This provides clarity and direction for the design team. It also unites all the project development partners behind a set of shared values and focus points, which act as the basis for objective and logical design decisions.

Most importantly, research enables you to manage and reduce development risk. Innovation effort and development investment can be focused in those areas that research highlights as being most important to your primary stakeholders.
