DCA designed the train for the original Crossrail project to the stage of a full size mock up.

This radical design encompassed groundbreaking technologies like superformed aluminium high-back seating capable of achieving Class 1A fire performance; a central driver’s position; the first curved door universal toilet; and a fire rated full width intercar gangway suitable for underground use.
