Le Shuttle

Le Shuttle, run by Eurotunnel, transports cars, coaches and light vans on trains designed by DCA for a consortium of manufacturers. The locomotives produced by Brush are unique, designed specifically to haul the vehicle-carrying shuttles through the tunnels at high speed. 

The driver’s cab interior and exterior design formed part of our brief and we carried out a major ergonomic study on the driver’s desk and controls to ensure that the two different operating systems specified, one for use in England, the other in France, would work together.
