This project marked the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship with LUL, spawning ticket machines, ticket barriers, information points, electronic signage and staff kiosks. It also triggered prestigious rail projects around the world, including the distinctive Tangara double-deck suburban trains for Sydney, Australia and the Eurotunnel Shuttle, carrying road vehicles between England and France.
More recently, we developed the revolutionary M6 double-deck train for SNCB in Belgium, and translated early concept work on the Virgin Voyager vehicles into reality. We also developed the original Crossrail train, encompassing a series of groundbreaking technologies.
In light rail, we designed the exterior for the current Bilbao trams and developed Bombardier’s modular tram designs for Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Away from rolling stock, we designed the Platform Screen Doors for Jubilee Line and Singapore MRT.
