DCA AND GSK win two Good Design awards in oral care

Published on: 7th January 2016

DCA is delighted to announce that in collaboration with the GSK Global Design Management Team they have won two of this year’s prestigious 2015 GOOD DESIGN® Awards for the Aquafresh Milk Teether and Sensodyne Mouthwash Bottle.

Aquafresh’s brand new Milk Teether is a unique multi-functional teether, which brings Aquafresh’s dental health credentials to the category’s youngest initiates. The multi-zone teething sections have been designed to help reach different areas of the baby’s mouth. It has been specially designed in collaboration with Paediatric Dentists to help soothe and clean gums and newly emerging teeth throughout the teething process, whilst having many different tactile areas to explore, each providing unique benefits to baby’s mouth.

Sensodyne’s new mouthwash bottle improves impact at shelf through its distinctive bottle shape that conveys the brand values of expertise, understated confidence and trust. A new co-moulded cap allows easier and more accurate dosing through its new ‘easy to see’ measure feature. By taking an inclusive approach to its design, the cap is easier to use for everyone, whilst incorporating child resistance in its simple but elegant design.

Founded in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann Jr,  the Chicago Athenaeum GOOD DESIGN Awards programme is one of the oldest and most prestigious for design excellence worldwide. For 2015, the Museum received submissions from several thousand of the world’s leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms from around the world representing the most important and critical mass of influential corporations worldwide in the design industry from over 47 countries.
