Household fats into soap. DCA student gains media attention for innovative device

Published on: 3rd September 2019

Our sponsored student Danielle Coffey has designed a device that addresses a common issue in all households – leftover cooking oils that are poured in the sink. Over time, these fats build up blockages that affect drainage and contribute to water pollution. Danielle took this challenge head-on and came up with a refreshing solution: a device that processed these unwanted fats into soap.

Danielle describes the process in detail on www.dezeen.com, where her project has been featured recently.

We love the project and are looking forward to Danielle re-joining our team!
