Published on: 5th March 2020

We are very pleased to announce that Zoeftig’s Contact seating system has won an iF award 2020. DCA and Zoeftig’s in house design team worked closely to design and develop this innovative and affordable, public seating system. Zoeftig is a leading provider of global seating and in-seat power for passenger terminals, gateways and concourses in over 250 airports around the world.

Designed for efficiency, Zoeftig’s new Contact range is an affordable public seating system, designed to use less material through elegant engineering without comprising quality, aesthetics or comfort. The design of the structure and support system has reduced installation time and enabled the seating system to be frequently reconfigured, increasing the utility, flexibility and longevity.

Nick Mival, DCA Director, said ‘We are really delighted to have won an iF award for the Zoeftig Contact Seating System. It was such a pleasure for our multidiscipline team of researchers, ergonomists, designers and engineers to work in such an integrated way with Zoeftig’s senior management, design and manufacturing teams. The result is truly elegant and efficient seating system based on insight from multiple stakeholders including end-users, specifiers, maintenance and installation teams’.

For over 65 years, the IF international forum has been recognised as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design and is renowned worldwide for celebrating outstanding design.
