DCA collaborates with AMETEK Taylor Hobson on the development of new Surtronic Duo

AMETEK Taylor Hobson is a world leader in dimensional metrology solutions including surface finish and form. DCA worked with the AMETEK Taylor Hobson team to develop its latest portable surface finish profiler - the new Surtronic Duo. This product consists of separable Measurement Traverse and Display units connected via a wireless Bluetooth link.
DCA developed the new electronic hardware to exploit the benefits of a new core microprocessor, colour display and the latest battery technologies, in order to provide improved functionality, usability and extended operation within very challenging unit cost targets.
The casework was engineered for robustness and designed using the visual brand language previously developed for AMETEK Taylor Hobson by DCA and already successfully implemented on the Duo’s sister product, the S-Series. As a result, the new Surtronic Duo projects the core values of the AMETEK Taylor Hobson brand, linking it closely to higher end ultra-precision equipment.
