Tyre inflation station

The DCA team worked with PCL to design and develop a new range of forecourt towers that provide automatic tyre inflation and optional air and vacuum services. Designed specifically for forecourts and commercial environments, the Eezy column addresses long-standing issues found in legacy equipment. 

Traditional towers often feel uninviting, cluttered, and industrial. They lack identity and are difficult to keep clean and organised. Many are confusing to operate and offer little user guidance, appearing outdated in today’s modern retail landscape. With the Eezy column we aimed to shift this narrative, aiming to inspire the next generation of smart forecourt infrastructure. 

By prioritising simplicity, approachability and technological sophistication, Eezy columns offer confident, high-performance solutions that enhance customer interaction and encourage repeat use.

The column’s tall, weighted form is assured yet inviting – instilling trust while offering a clearly guided experience. From the well-organised pneumatic products and retractable cables to the digital display and intuitive lighting, every physical and digital detail has been designed to support a seamless user journey. 

The Eezy column’s form is sculpted to feel both welcoming and dependable. Its elongated height improves visibility across busy forecourts, allowing the tower to stand confidently within its environment. Soft curvature integrated into the geometric frame conveys approachability and assurance, while also providing the practical benefit of eliminating flat surfaces where rubbish might otherwise collect. Clear digital displays, subtle audio cues and minimal on-surface labelling reduce visual noise – focusing the user’s attention solely on the essential information they need. 

Recessed cavities highlight and protect the well-organised pneumatic tools, with integrated LED lighting used to both showcase the available services and create a halo effect around an active component once selected. This intuitively guides users to the correct tool, reducing hesitation or confusion. The result is a thoughtfully designed interface that ensures a smooth, quick and stress-free experience – even in low light or night-time conditions.

Equipped with the latest-generation digital tyre inflation technology, the column provides safe, fast, and accurate inflation up to 5.5 bar. A touch interface and automatic operation make tyre maintenance quick and accessible, with built-in audio cues signalling task completion. Retractable hoses ensure a tidy, clean appearance and prevent tripping hazards or grime build-up. 

A high-powered vacuum with a crevice tool is stored securely in a side cavity for easy access and storage, maintaining the column’s sleek silhouette. These features combine to create a hygienic, reliable station that consistently delivers peak performance, even under high usage. 

The Eezy column is engineered for durability and built to last, with every detail designed for long-term serviceability. Its internal architecture supports quick, straightforward assembly and disassembly. While a technician drawer at the base provides easy access for maintenance teams, enabling faster servicing and reduced operational downtime. 

Components are standardised and easily swappable, helping to cut service costs and minimise technician strain.

Integrated screens provide real-time system alerts, allowing operators to stay ahead of maintenance needs before issues arise. This forward-thinking design extends product lifespan while ensuring a consistent, dependable experience across every location.
