DCA supports Belron® with launch of new vehicle glass replacement tools

We are proud to have supported Belron® with the design and development of a new range of innovative vehicle glass replacement tools. We were delighted to see them being launched and demonstrated at the recent Best of Belron® 2026 event.

Colleague safety is a top priority for Belron®, whose 15,000 technicians lift heavy windscreens and handle vehicle glass every day. 

To meet this challenge, we led an in-depth global research programme, evaluating technician behaviour and identifying key requirements and operational preferences. This fed into an innovative design and development phase of iterative design and focussed technician testing, shaping the design of new tools that reduce the strain on technicians, prevent injuries and make technician roles more accessible to a more diverse range of people. 

At the heart of the new tool suite is the Ezi-Prep®, a glass replacement tool designed for easier setup and reduced load on technicians. It includes a glass brace to help prevent accidental glass breakage during setup. 

We have developed this tool to include the lift and present mode, where the Ezi-Prep® lifts the glass to vertical and the technician can then lift the weight of the glass with one hand and present it to the vehicle mounted 1-Tek® yoke fixture, so the technician never needs to take the full weight of the glass. 

The new tools help Belron® technicians to work with less strain on their bodies, allowing them to focus on delivering the highest quality job more comfortably.
