LiftPod recognised with Edison and Red Dot Awards
We are delighted to announce that our collaboration with JLG Industries on the development of the innovative LiftPod has been recognised with a prestigious double award win, receiving both an Edison Award and a Red Dot Award in the Product Design category. This is in addition to the iF Design Award and the GOOD DESIGN Award that LiftPod has already received.
LiftPod received its Edison Award in Fort Myers on 16th April, in recognition of its outstanding innovation. The Edison Awards celebrate excellence in product development, honouring innovators who embody the spirit and legacy of Thomas Edison. As with all of this year’s winners, LiftPod was selected for recognition as it demonstrates the transformative power of innovation to shape industries, improve everyday lives, and drive meaningful progress around the world.
The DCA team was proud to receive a Bronze Edison Award as part of this recognition. We were especially excited when, in a standout moment from the event, host Segun Oduolowu chose to deliver his opening remarks live from an elevated LiftPod, an engaging and memorable way to showcase the product’s capabilities and set the tone for the event.
In addition, LiftPod has been honoured with the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026, one of the world’s most respected accolades for design excellence. This recognition further underscores the product’s outstanding design and quality.
LiftPod is a first-of-its-kind, compact, quick-folding, single-person low-level access lift designed for facility maintenance in commercial and retail spaces. Its innovative quick folding, compact form allows it to be manoeuvred easily and deployed conveniently around job sites, allowing users to work more safely, hands-free at heights up to 3.5m.
These awards represent outstanding recognition for both the DCA and JLG project teams, marking an incredibly successful collaboration. Together, we have delivered a groundbreaking solution that not only meets practical needs and improves workplace safety but also helps raise the bar for innovation and design – a success that has now been recognised both in the USA and Europe through these multiple award wins.
“These award wins demonstrate how user-centred design and engineering innovation can come together to solve real-world challenges.”
