Models and mock-ups

Physical models and mock-ups are essential for most transportation projects. We use full size rigs and mock-ups for ergonomic assessments; passenger, crew and driver trials; and to support airworthiness certification and PRM TSI and NOBO assessment and sign-off activities.

In the vast majority of cases design sign-off can be achieved against a full size physical mock-up, allowing a low-risk, smooth transition into manufacture.

We are unusual amongst design consultancies in being able to build scale models, large ergonomic rigs and full size representative mock-ups in-house using our own model making team. This gives us unrivalled levels of flexibility, responsiveness and control during the production of our models and mock-ups. Add to this our reputation for quality and attention to detail and you have a world beating combination.

Our workshops are equipped with 3 and 5 axis CNC machining centres and a comprehensive range of rapid prototyping facilities as well as supporting the more traditional hand skills that remain fundamental to many transportation projects.
