DCA Updates its Rapid Prototyping Capability

Published on: 24th June 2021

Our in-house rapid prototyping capabilities have just been updated with the installation of the latest Projet 2500 Plus 3D printer in our dedicated laboratory facilities.

We’ve just taken delivery of a brand new Projet 2500 Plus printer to replace the out-going 3500 model. Together with our existing Projet 3600 and Stratasys Fortus 250mc FDM machine, this latest model will allow us to continue to build prototype parts with outstanding accuracy but now with more material options available than ever before. These rapid prototyping machines are integrated with our other workshop facilities to provide a fast, flexible, high quality in-house model making and prototyping service.

Both our Projet machines are capable of producing models to an accuracy of 0.025mm, which is essential for the high precision design and development work undertaken at DCA. Builds are run every evening allowing for quick and efficient production of functional rigs, prototype parts and test fixtures which can be assessed and utilised the very next day.
