DCA wins Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016 for Scholl Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Foot File

Published on: 7th April 2016

DCA is delighted to announce that the new Scholl Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry foot file has won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016. Working in partnership with the RB (formerly Reckitt Benckiser) R&D and Global Design Management teams DCA has developed the device and structural packaging for Scholl’s next generation hard skin removal device.

The Scholl Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry is a cordless, rechargeable solution to deliver professional style pedicure results anytime, anywhere. Completely waterproof it features a specifically designed roller heard for wet and dry use so can be used in the bath or the shower. It is re-chargeable for optimal performance every time and has two speeds to suit different hard skin conditions - choose from 'gentle' (low) to buff away hard and coarse skin with ease, or 'intensive' (high) setting, recommended when using on wet skin. With less substantial volumes than its predecessor, the design is considered ‘sleeker’, more ‘feminine’ and ‘sophisticated’ by consumers. The patented angled roller head gives a sense of added control and precision and has the added benefits of being a slimmer design with improved ergonomics.

This years international Red Dot Awards jury, consisting of 41 members of independent designers, design professors and specialists journalists assessed a record number of 5,214 products from 57 countries. The awards will formally be presented on 4 July 2016, when upward of 1,200 guests from all over the world will go to Essen for this year’s Red Dot Award: Product Design award ceremony.
