The Royal Marsden Hospital treats the first UK patient on Elekta’s MR-linac

Elekta’s MR-linac featured on BBC News to recognise the major milestone of the first patient in the UK being treated with the ground-breaking technology.

In 2012, Elekta engaged DCA Design International as the company’s design partner for its MR-linac system. DCA worked with Elekta to create a future vision for the industrial design and usability of Elekta’s MR-linac system. There are currently twelve research devices operational worldwide, and having received a CE mark earlier this year the system is now being implemented clinically in Europe, ushering in a transformation in precision and personalised cancer treatment.
