The ‘3D Pen’ is the product of a rigorous development process, focussed on improving the self-injection experience for diabetes patients.

‘3D Pen’ is a disposable pen injector with an unparalleled feature set for precise delivery of variable doses of medicine. It enables a class-leading maximum dose of 120U to be selected and delivered in single unit increments.

Unlike traditional pen injectors, the innovative spring-powered mechanism avoids the need for the button to wind out of the housing when selecting a dose. This means that very large doses can be comfortably delivered automatically, at the touch of a button. The lack of hand movement needed to deliver a dose also enables a high degree of control to be maintained over the device during injection.

The ‘3D Pen’ includes a range of feedback features that help to communicate its status. The innovative ‘gauge’ feature, which slides linearly as the dose is dialled, provides an analogue reference of the size of dose that has been selected. When the dose is injected, the gauge slides back to its starting point, providing a clear indication of delivery progress. At the end of the dose, an audible click indicates when delivery is completed.

The ‘3D’ variable dose pen injector with zero dial extension, automatic injection and innovative user feedback features, provides class-leading usability and flexibility.
